I EDUCATION

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Under Section 17, Article II and Section 2 and 3, Article XIV of the Philippine Constitution mandates that education of the youth is a primary concern of the government. And so, this platform of governance emanates.
Education is the ultimate weapon to fight poverty and such being the case, there is a need to design a sustainable educational assistance program. Due to economic difficulties, opportunity to pursue higher education for a considerable number of poor but deserving High School graduates of Mankilam is now becoming a sad reality that the barangay have to face and if left unabated, may lead to an escalation of social problems.
Provision of school supplies to poor but deserving students of the barangay to alleviate the needs of the students.

II CHILDREN PROTECTION AGAINST DRUG ADDICTION BY ESTABLISHING A BARANGAY CITIZEN PATROL

Sports programs and developments may prevent the youth from addiction to drugs. Keeping them away from the addicted substance through coordination of the different government agencies like PNP, NBI, PDEA and the like.
There must be an active drive against drug addiction.
The Barangay Citizen Patrol is composed of the Punong barangay and all Barangay functionaries , actively monitoring the peace and order of every puroks .

III ADVOCACY ON MOTHER NATURE THROUGH GREEN ENVIRONMENT PROGRAM

Through the assistance of the government agencies concerned, the Barangay Officials shall initiate the programs on Green Environment as an inter-generation responsibility. The Barangay Officials will plant now so that tomorrow’s generation will reap the benefit of today’s sacrifices.

All functionaries shall answer the call to protect and preserve the environment from degradation.
The importance of undertaking this policy is not limited to saving the environment from further deterioration but more significantly this is one way of enhancing the command responsibility of each individual of keeping in touch from the beauty of nature through preservation.

VI TRANSPARENCY OF GOVERNANCE

• Projects funded by the Barangay shall be promptly implemented.
• Disburse funds in accordance with an approved budget.
• Take custody of all Sangguniang Kabataan property and funds. All the records shall be kept in place for documentation and verification.

VII NUTRITION PROGRAM
• Regular feeding program to all public schools and day care centers within the barangay.
• Provision of seedling materials to school and different puroks.
